Hi there, I'm working as the project coordinator for an EU funded project created by the Open Workshop for Culture and Art and The Women Affairs Technical Committee in the West Bank City of Ramallah, Palestine. Currently I'm seeking two EU artists to take part in a Cultural Exchange. The artists should be able to share unique skills pertaining to public art to local artists. The result of this project will be a 20 meter long sculpted mural divided between Ramallah and East Jerusalem. Interested? Or, do you know any (EU) artists who may be interested in taking part in this for two weeks? If so let me know and I'll send you the concept note for the proposal. All costs for the artist will be covered. The theme of the mural is "Celebrating Women in Culture" and currently we're planning to sculpt (and at times sketch) the majority of the mural from (or into) clay, however we're extremely open to alternative ideas regarding material. It is hoped that the EU artists will contribute an alternative method of creating the large scale public art, or may contribute in sculpting techniques.
Thanks much, Julia Bailey
